New Program
Weiser, Idaho, has introduced the state's first Community Paramedic Program dedicated exclusively to behavioral health support. Led by seasoned paramedic Ashley Lynn, the initiative provides in-person assistance for individuals dealing with mental health and substance use challenges, meeting them in homes, community spaces, or wherever needed. This program aims to bridge the gap in mental health services in rural areas, offering timely and compassionate care. Alan Foster, Director of the Weiser Ambulance District, praised Lynn's dedication and the program's potential to enhance community well-being.

Clinic
In Klickitat, Washington, high school senior Auni Lester spearheaded an initiative to address the town's lack of local healthcare services. Collaborating with One Community Health and the Klickitat School District, Lester facilitated monthly visits from the La Clínica mobile clinic, offering services like pediatric checkups, immunizations, urgent care, vision screenings, and behavioral health consultations. Her classmate, Oriona Atchley, joined the effort, participating in job shadowing opportunities. Together, these two students—the entire graduating class of Klickitat High School—have made a lasting impact on their community's health access.
Expansion
The Detroit Wayne Integrated Health Network (DWIHN) has launched a new mobile outreach clinic to provide preventive health services across Wayne County neighborhoods. Building on its existing 24/7 mobile mental health crisis services, DWIHN's latest initiative aims to reach residents directly, offering accessible care and support. Andrea Smith, DWIHN's Director of Innovation and Community Engagement, highlighted the clinic's role in addressing health disparities and improving community well-being.
